Derby Weekend:

In less than a week I will be in Louisville, KY, visiting my extended family and experiencing my first Derby weekend. Needless to say, I cannot wait! Sun, bourbon, bowties, prancing horses, green fields, southern accents… it sounds all too enticing as I sit in my cubicle. But as thoughts of mint juleps dance in my head, the dilemma remains… what to wear?

My cousin has been sending me cute hat pictures from local boutiques in Kentucky but I’m not sure on my dress yet. I have a few I could probably wear but isn’t part of the fun the hunt? Planning to hit up some shops in NYC this weekend, maybe a fully 1950s A-line silhouette? We’ll see what I end up with.

Still need to explore a bit further, but easily shareable content with same functionality as content on FB/Twitter might have (likes, repost, share) except it’s all amazing music based on your taste. You can select the genre you are in the mood for and a selection of artists to follow will pop up as well as song selections to explore. From there you can interact with songs and explore similar sounds. Worth looking into if you are also a music lover.

Well, I guess Carrie said it pretty well in that interview… just listened to “Good in Goodbye” on Spotify and it spoke to me. Definitely not my usual musical selection (although my Kia has presets to country back home… shh), but I find the lyrics touching and hope they resonate with me one day.
